Call for Applications: 2016 UN Energy Grant on “Powering the Future We Want”, Deadline July 15
The UN-DESA Energy Grant has been announced for the year 2016, and the application process has started. The grant carries an award of US$1 million. The thematic focus this year is Energy for Sustainable Transport. The 2016 grant seeks to advance sustainable development by encouraging scientific and technological innovations and fostering leadership initiatives and innovative actions that improve energy for sustainable transport, while addressing economic, social and environmental sustainability.
Applications are open to individuals, institutions or partnerships based on past and current achievements. Successful recipients should be able to demonstrate leadership and innovation in energy for sustainable transport, as well as willingness and ability to implement knowledge transfer through capacity building activities aimed at replicating and scaling up successful experiences and lessons learned. PACEsetter second funding round now open, Deadline August 12
The second funding round of the PACEsetter Fund is now open. Up to $2 million will be made available for this round, with grant sizes ranging from $50,000 to $300,000. The fund provides early-stage grant funding to allow businesses to develop and test innovative products, business models and systems that increase clean energy access.
