New –  Sun-Connect database for off-grid documents

As a new service Sun-Connect News reports that it is providing a new and unique resource database for the off-grid industry: Sun-Connect News makes available all currently relevant studies and papers about off-grid electrification. Documents are classified into the following categories:

The database will be regularly updated and complemented by new documents. It is available to all interested parties free of charge.

USAID Launches an Online Grid Platform

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in partnership with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory has launched a new platform on grids called Greening The Grid. This platform is designed to support countries in meeting climate change mitigation targets by integrating renewable energy into their power systems. It provides fact sheets, in-depth guidance, training materials, and an “Ask the Expert” service for remote assistance on grid integration topics.

The Global Infrastructure Facility now open for business

The Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF) is a global open platform that facilitates the preparation and structuring of complex infrastructure public-private partnerships (PPPs) to enable mobilization of private sector and institutional investor capital. The GIF is now open for business and accepting applications from emerging market and developing country governments for project preparation and transaction structuring support.
